Jamie O’Brien is a 17 year-old senior at Garrison Forest School and resides in Owings Mills, Maryland. After graduation, she plans to major in Broadcast Journalism at Elon University in North Carolina.
Jamie has been extremely involved in the extracurricular activities at Garrison Forest since the first grade. At Garrison, Jamie was on the Tennis Team all throughout high school and took Golf lessons junior and senior year. Also through her school, she has taken piano lessons for the past 12 years and wants to continue learning at college.
One of Jamie’s deep passions is singing. Having taken voice lessons for 5 years now, Jamie was able to join the Chamber Choir her sophomore year and is currently Head of the Ragged Robins, a seven person a cappella group.
If Jamie could do absolutely anything she would be an actress. She has been working to achieve that goal for 5 years, taking acting classes continuously and auditioning constantly. In 2004, Jamie actually held a lead role in an independent film called "Swarm of the Snakehead", a straight to DVD movie about mutated fish that are terrorizing a small town. The feature length movie should hit stores soon.
Watch for Jamie O’Brien, representing the amazing state of Maryland, this summer in the national pageant as she competes for the title of Miss Teen USA 2006!
