Thank you all so much for such an incredible weekend! I know you all put in so much work to make pageant weekend happen for us and I appreciate it :) I can't wait to come back again!
I just wanted to write you to thank you for being so kind, warm and welcoming to me during my time competing in the Miss Maryland Teen USA 2012 pageant. When I first attended the Seminar I arrived a bit shy, nervous and totally unsure if I would ever catch up with anyone, let alone make amazing friends! I remember being told that this would make memories that would last a lifetime, memories that we would want to tell our kids about when we grow up, and now that I had this amazing opportunity I know definitely it's true !
Not only did I learn so much about how great our state was, I learned more about myself and found that inner strength and beauty inside myself I never knew I had. During my stay for the pageant I learned how it felt to be independent, helpful to others, and how to bring out the best in myself. I had so much fun every single day up until the final show I always had a smile on my face from start to finish.
Not only is my family proud of me but my whole town and school are proud of me. This pageant has even helped me grow closer to everyone outside and inside of the competition. I never thought I could get everyone in my school, in my community and closest friends to root for me to win this much. Although I didn't win the pageant, I walked away a true winner at heart with new friends who are so nice to me. I can never express in such a short amount of writing how much this helped me and made me so happy. Even other people's families there cheered me on, I even keep in contact with the former MISS USA & MIss Teen USA as well as the current regining ones.
I'm truly grateful and all of the chaperons took god care of me and the other contestants. I most certainly will apply next year, I LOVE YOU ALL, and everyone should try out to compete, it's a life changing experience.
With Love, Matina Redd.
Thank you for such a professionally run event this past weekend and the whole process leading up to it. Another great experience for Kristina to learn from. I would not be surprised if Kristina is driven harder by this experience to give it another try next year or beyond seeing she is only 20 years old
I must say that, according to Danielle. she had the best weekend in her life! She had so much fun and made lasting friendships. We were ecstatic that she made Top 15 because she had no formal training at all. She went into it to have fun and she accomplished it! She certainly wants to try this again so we hope to see you all next year!
Everyone was so helpful, energetic and care about all of the young ladies!
It was so nice seeing you all this past weekend! Your production was excellent, as always...I hope Victoria does it again next year, because she had the best time of her life!
I am very grateful to you for all the work you do to keep this activity strong - what an excellent experience for any young lady!
"Beautiful" doesn't even begin to describe, not only the contestants that I can now call friends, but the entire weekend! I was honored to have been selected in the Top 17 this year as it represented great depth of cultures and accomplishments. I wish Gabrielle and the Miss Maryland USA organization a great year to come.
All my best, Nicole Ortiz
This year I competed for the first time in the Miss Maryland USA pageant. I
went into the pageant being a 17 year old "young kid" and came out being a 17
year old "young woman." Now that I am 18 not a day goes by when I don't
remember that weekend. Like many young women I never really had full confidence in myself and never thought that I would have ever had the
opportunity to compete with women of such class and achievement. I always loved
helping people and giving back to others but I never really took as much time
as I should have to give all I could give.
After being around all these amazing
girls I saw how much they did and how much it actually made a difference. I
decided right then that I wanted to be just like them and make as much of an
impact on peoples lives as possible. This pageant changed my life - I can't
say it enough! I went into the pageant with no expectations of winning but in
the end I came out feeling as though I won it all, and the best part was that I
did! Now I have 75 beautiful friends, no - sisters! and the confidence in myself
to do great things. Win or lose, you gain so much! I would recommend this
experience to anyone and everyone. To this day, I still keep in touch with most
of the girls and have seen some through out the year. I just want to say thank
you to everyone involved in the pageant and all the sisters I gained during it.
I will see you all next year ! LOVE YOU ALL!
Love always, Kristen Upchurch, Miss Amity. : )
I just wanted to thank you for another great year competing in the Miss MD Teen USA pageant. I had a blast getting to know even more girls from all over Maryland. Making the top 15 for my second year was a blessing and I thank you all, as staff of the pageant, for preparing me for a great experience! I plan on returning for another fabulous and fun year with the Miss Maryland Teen USA Coordinators.
Our family would like to thank you and all of the pageant staff and volunteers for all of their hard work during last weekend’s Miss Maryland Teen USA pageant…and, for the past three years that Tess has participated. We are sure that Ana Maria Lawson will represent the State of Maryland very well at the national pageant. I’m fairly certain that Tess will enter college in the fall and follow her dream of becoming a paleontologist...in heels!
Sincerely, Julie Van Orden
I could not let another day go by without thanking everyone responsible for the 2008 Miss Maryland USA pageant. It was such a wonderful experience and I had so much fun. Although I did not place this year, I know I am one of the many winners because I grew so much as a person just from being a contestant. I have more confidence in my inner and outer beauty, plus I've grown into a true social butterfly. I made so many friends that weekend and many still keep in touch. Please keep me in mind for next year because I am definitely applying again.
I just wanted wanted to say what a wonderful time I had at the 2006 Miss Maryland Teen USA Pageant. I know I speak for all the other girls when I say that this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. From the day I received my Congratulation Letter that I was a state delegate to the last hug I gave to one of my new friends, I felt like a "movie star." I just want to thank you, the judges and everyone else that made this unforgetable time in my (and all of our "teen" lives) so special.
Hope to see you next year, Samantha Ingraham
