ABOUT STEPHANIE

On October 30, 2011, Stephanie Chervenkov was crowned Miss Maryland Teen USA 2012 in the beautiful Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center.
 
Stephanie is a 17-year-old senior at The John Carroll School in Bel Air, where she is an honors student and involved in the National Art Honors Society. Stephanie was born and raised in Maryland to Bulgarian parents, the reason she speaks fluent Bulgarian. At school, she has taken French and Russian language classes and hopes to become fluent in both languages as well.

Stephanie's hobbies include visual arts which she enjoys both at school and in her free time. Photography and drawing are some of Stephanie's favorite forms of art. In 2009, she won an annual school-wide Christmas card contest. Visiting museums, exploring art galleries, and going to musicals are activities she enjoys to do.  Stephanie exercises daily and one of her favorite forms of exercise is yoga; she feels it gives her both mental and physical strength. She volunteers at local places like Anna’s house and Eden Mill Nature Center.  Stephanie will continue her education by attending one of the many wonderful colleges in her state of Maryland this coming fall.
 
Stephanie is truly honored and proud to represent her beautiful home state. Stephanie has begun making preparations for Miss Teen USA and hopes to bring the crown back home to the state of Maryland!
